Lakes Limoncello

Sunshine in a bottle, from Cumbria with love!

A traditional recipe for Limoncello, shown to us by an Italian who’s family has passed it down through the years.

We take the freshest Lemons, hand peel them and steep them in our grain spirit for two weeks before adding sugar & Lake District water. That’s it!

Because it is a completely natural product it can sometimes separate out over time and form a sediment at the top (these are the essential oils that give our limoncello it’s punch so we wanted to keep them in, rather than filter them out or add nasties to stabilise them) If you notice this, simply give the bottle a good shake and enjoy! (tip: keeping the bottle in the freezer will slow this process down).
